TaxBandits at Nationwide Tax Forum New York 2026: The Highlights

In the heart of the Big Apple, surrounded by excited tax professionals and conversations filled with insight, that’s how the IRS Nationwide Tax Forum in New York was for us. 

From August 18 to 19, the TaxBandits team and our sister product, Tax990, enjoyed every moment of the conference, and we’re so excited to share our highlights!

But before we dive in, what is it?

What is IRS Nationwide Tax Forum New York? 

IRS Nationwide Tax Forum is an annual IRS outreach event series designed to connect with the tax professional community. Each location features 3 days of expert-led discussions on the latest federal and state tax issues, along with a variety of workshops and seminars.

In addition to this visit to New York, the conference will also be held in Orlando and San Diego this year.

Our Top Highlights

As soon as the conference started, the exhibitor hall was filled with attendees — and we were thrilled to connect with so many tax professionals.

Whether you simply stopped by for our cool TaxBandits’ tote bag, or visited to share your experience as our client, we loved meeting each and every one of you! 

Our team also appreciated the chance to connect with other exhibitors, and when the conference closed for the day, we enjoyed taking in New York. 

Thoughts to Grow On

One of the best parts of connecting with you is hearing your feedback directly. It fuels our updates, features, and adjustments because we’re committed to providing the best experience possible.

This time around, 1099, W-2, and other information returns came up a lot, and we were happy to expand our offerings and support the process.

We also spoke with several people curious about transferring from paper filing to e-filing, and we had great conversations about what it looks like and how we simplify the transition. 

Additionally, state filing came up several times. It was a great opportunity to explore what you’re looking for and discuss our current offerings and plans to continue supporting more states.
