Be aware that even though the E-Filing deadline is not until March 31, 2014, you are still required to furnish Copies B, C, and 2 of Form W-2 and Form 1099 to your employees by January 31, 2014, which means they have to be delivered or postmarked by today. The deadline to furnish Form 1099-MISC is February 15, 2014 only if amounts are reported in boxes 8 or 14 (Substitute payments in lieu of dividends or interest and Gross proceeds paid to an attorney).
