Important IRS Deadlines in March

March is the beginning of many things: warmer weather, daylight savings, and tax season (dun..dunnn..dunnn). After the winter we just had (actually winter is still going on but I consider March spring) we can at least be happy that tax season is during warmer months; there is always a silver lining my tax filing friends. ExpressTaxFilings is your best solution for e-filing 1099s and W-2s. We also connect you directly to the best e-filing providers of tax extensions and nonprofit tax returns.

A great way to successfully navigate through tax season is to know all the important deadlines. Here are all the important March IRS Deadlines:

March 2nd
Deadline for all employers to have Copy A of Form W-2 and Form W-3 paper filed with the Social Security Administration. If you file electronically, your filing deadline is automatically extended to March 31st.

March 16
Deadline for Business Tax Returns. Corporations must file Form 1120 (for calendar year) and pay any tax due. If you need more time, you can e-file Business Tax Extension Form 7004 through ExpressExtension.com in minutes and receive an automatic 5 to 6 month extension to e-file your business tax returns. You can read more about ExpressExtension and all the tax extension forms they provide (including nonprofit and personal) in their latest article – It’s Time To File Business Tax Returns

March 31st
Deadline for all employers to have Copy A of Form W-2 e-filed with the Social Security Administration. Note: This deadline applies only if you file electronically.
