Are you an Applicable Large Employer (ALE)? Or an insurance provider? Or anyone else who provided employees or other individuals with health insurance in 2016?
If so, you need to file Affordable Care Act Forms 1094 and 1095 by March 31, 2017 to report the coverage you offered! And, in case you skipped the title: you can do that right here with ExpressTaxFilings!
After you log into your account and click “Create New Form,” just select the ACA Form option.
You may be used to only filing for the current tax year with ExpressTaxFilings. But with the ACA Forms, the next step is to choose whether you’d like to file for 2016 (the current tax year) or 2015.
Once you continue past this screen, everything should be pretty familiar (if you’ve e-filed with ExpressTaxFilings before, that is). You’ll enter your employer or insurer information, including which form you need to file (Form 1094/1095-B or 1094/1095-C), then enter the employee/recipient information either individually or by bulk upload.
Like all our other forms, your ACA Forms will then be sent through a few error checks to ensure any common errors are corrected before you transmit your forms to the IRS.
And even though the deadline to have your recipient/employee copies of Form 1095 was March 2, we’ll still print and mail them for you if you need us to! Just select the postal mailing option before you e-file.
Again, these ACA Forms are due March 31, 2017, and if you have any questions while you e-file, we’re here to help! Give us a call at (704) 684-4751 or send us a live chat during our office hours (Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. EST), or send us an email anytime to support@ExpressTaxFilings!
