Introducing Forms 941-PR & 941-SS!
|If you’ve been perusing your ExpressTaxFilings account, getting ready to file your 2017 First Quarter 941 Forms at the end of this month, you may have noticed something new in the New Forms section.
Or, should we say: somethings new?!
That’s right: since you can now e-file Form 941 through your ExpressTaxFilings account, we wanted to make sure everyone could e-file Form 941 so we added Forms 941-PR and 941-SS to the ETF lineup!
Forms 941-PR and 941-SS report basically the same thing Form 941 does: how much employers paid in wages as well as the Medicare and social security taxes withheld from those wages. The only difference is Forms 941-PR and 941-SS are used by employers in certain regions of the US. Form 941-PR is reported by employers based in Puerto Rico and Form 941-SS is filed by employers located in any of the following territories: American Samoa, Guam, the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, and the US Virgin Islands.
So if you’re an employer based in any of the territories mentioned above, you’ll need to report your quarterly taxes on either Form 941-PR (if you’re in Puerto Rico) or Form 941-SS (if you’re in any of those other places). You can still use Forms 941-PR and 941-SS to pay any taxes you owe for the quarter as well.
Obviously, if you want to e-file your Form 941, Form 941-PR, or Form 941-SS with us since you know how simple it’ll be, just click one of those buttons above to get started. You’ll find them in your account by clicking the “Start New Form” button.
And if you have any questions about any of these forms or any of the other forms we offer IRS-authorized, secure e-filing for (1099s, W-2s, ACA Forms, etc.), don’t hesitate to reach out to us!
