IRS Deadlines & Extensions

How are you, fellow tax payer? The next few months contain very special days; IRS Tax Deadlines. If tax deadlines stress you out, I’m here to tell you that there is a way to extend your deadlines and enjoy a stress free tax season. Don’t believe me? Well then, let’s move on to all the details…

March
Business Income Taxes are due March 16th (it is usually the 15th, but that is a Sunday). If you need more time to file your business income taxes, you can automatically extend your deadline for 5 to 6 months, depending on the business type, with IRS Form 7004. You can easily e-file this form with ExpressExtension.com and the great thing is, you don’t have to provide any explanation as to why you are requesting an extension. The deadline for Form 7004 is March 16th.

April
This is the main tax deadline month. All lot of people practice their master procrastinator skills and file at the last possible minute on the IRS Personal Income Tax Deadline on April 15th. If you need more time to e-file the following forms: 1040, 1040A, 1040EZ, 1040NR, 1040NR-EZ, 1040-PR or 1040-SS, you can e-file an extension. IRS Form 4868 can be e-filed with ExpressExtension.com to provide you with an additional 6 months to file your personal income tax. Do know that this for is for an extension to file, not an extension of time to pay. So if you owe any taxes, you will need to pay by the April 15th deadline.

The deadline to have Form 4868 e-filed is April 15th.
